I was born in Bossier City, Louisiana in 1974 but lived most of my life in Paris, Texas since 1976.  I have always had a spiritual connection to music since elementary school and was introduced to the woodwind recorder in thrid grade.  I never knew then that the musical style and techniques I learned there would be instrumental in my passion for the Native American Flute later on in life.  However, while in high school marching and symphonic band I was a percussionist playing the bass drum, triplets and quads.

Native American culture, philosophy and spirituality has always held a special place in my heart.  Then in the Summer of 2012 I found a music CD by Native American Flute artist David R. Maracle.  The music captivated my soul and spoke to me, calling me to its meditative and haunting melodies and I immediately had to have one and learn how to play it.  Using Maracle's techniques and sounds I was able to quickly apply and develop them into my own original style and sound.  Since then I have been asked to play for weddings, funerals and other ceremonies or just for the pleasure of others.

The Native American Flute is a powerful, magical and spiritual instrument that touches the heart and awakens the dormant ancient ancestral spirit within our own spirits and souls that we don't recognize is there and connects us to nature and earth in ways that seem supernatural.  When I play, animals of all species seem to take special notice and respond, entranced by the sound.  I have had mockingbirds land on tree branches near me and try to mimic my melodies, ducks and geese fly near the dock I am playing on from across the lake and a great many turtles pop their heads out of the water all around me to listen.  It is a feeling of peace and serenity that I have never experienced before.

My playing style is a little different than other flute players in that I tend to create faster, more up-beat music rather than slow and meditative styles in keeping with the traditional Native American tribal sounds from all over the North American continent.  My mission now is to honor the Native American spirit and their ancestors so that they will never be forgotten and contribute by doing what I can to give back in part what my ancestors took from them a long time ago.

These songs are now digitally mastered and recorded and ready for listening.  I now have my first album called The Path.  I have it available for free MP3 download.

Please be free to listen.  Meditate on and mental and spiritualy envision the First Peoples of this land.  Also feel free to contact me with any comments, questions or concerns in my Contacts tab above.  Thank you for your interest.
